I thought I better get Eddie's "stats" from his 1st two baseball games up here before I forget them and don't have them written down elsewhere. We have the official record as well, but the coach has it, not me.

Game 1
1st at bat - full count - attempted to duck out of the box to avoid being hit by the pitch and the ball hit the upper edge of the bat and fell in play - thrown out at first.

2nd at bat - walked - stole second - slid into home and scored the 5th and final run in an opening day loss (8-5)

Fielding - threw a runner out at the plate from left field. Threw a runner out at 2nd from left field to end the game (time limit).

Game 2
1st at bat - walked on 4 straight pitches; stranded at 3rd.

2nd at bat - hit by pitch - tagged out trying to steal 3rd.

Fielding - fielded a ball hit to third - throw to first - runner safe; fielded a ground ball in center field which held runner at 2nd

I umped last night's game. I could live without that experience again. Eddie's having a good time with it.
